Frequently Asked Questions
Do you clean residential and commercial carpets?
Yes, I clean residential and commercial carpets, as well as outdoor carpets, upholstery, and fabric office furniture and vehicles.
Do you steam clean residential or commercial carpets?
I do not steam clean any carpets. Steam cleaning is extremely hot and doesn't flush out the dirt deep down in the carpet fibers. I use {HWE} or hot water extraction. HWE sprays water directly down to the bottom of the carpet fibers to blast off the dirt, pollen, and other allergens that get pushed down in your carpet from being walked on. Commercial carpet, on the other hand, receives a low moisture cleaning that uses an encapsulation method.
Why do I see bubbles in the carpet in some office buildings?
More than 90% of office buildings use commercial carpet, and this carpet is usually glued to a subfloor or concrete with no padding underneath. If the carpet is overwetted or too hot, some adhesives can break down, which can cause bubbles. The low moisture cleaning method I use is encapsulation cleaning.
Do you clean area rugs? Do you clean them on site?
I do clean area rugs, and yes, I clean them on-site. You can also drop them off to be cleaned if you have the means. There is a discount if they are dropped off then I give you a call when they're done.
How long does it take for carpets or upholstery to dry when the cleaning is done?
Usually, residential carpet takes about 6-8 hours to dry completely. Commercial carpet takes about 3-4 hours or less. Upholstery takes about 4-6 hours. This all varies due to the amount of soiling present. The higher the soiling or dirtier, the more cleaning is needed, which means longer dry times.
What is encapsulation cleaning and is it just for commercial carpets?
Encapsulation cleaning is a low-moisture cleaning designed explicitly for commercial carpets. It uses a cleaning machine that is different from hot water extraction. For {encap} cleaning, the cleaning solution is applied to the carpet with a scrubbing action and left in the carpet. The solution then encapsulates or traps the dirt, pollen, etc., that has been scrubbed from the carpet fibers. As it dries, it crystallized and stays unattached from the fibers. Then it is vacuumed up during the next cleaning.
Do you clean pet stains and odors?
Yes, most pet accidents are small, and there is usually little to no odor, and those can be taken care of with a professional carpet cleaning. There are some times when the pet goes to the same place several times. The spot gets bigger and the odor gets stronger, that takes specialized equiptment and needs to be thourouly flushed out and deodorizor used, if needed. Unfortunately, with pets and odors there's really no guaranty how things will turn out but I work on it until I'm satisfied and the customer is satisfied.
Do you clean other things besides carpet and upholstery?
I clean tile floors and grout. I have a separate attachment on my van just for that. I also seal the grout. It's amazing the difference, especially with lighter-colored grout, and the sealer helps keep the grout from staining in the future.
Do you offer any first-time client discounts or referral discounts?
